NASCAR Tickets – NASCAR Nationwide Series Danica Patrick's waiting Back
Danica Patrick is now kneeling in a season (so far unsuccessfully) with the Indy Racing League, but after the smoke of the Indianapolis 500 allows it to move slowly back into the tail of the NASCAR season with JR Motorsports. Attempts young Patrick in the race of the NASCAR Nationwide Series this year were, at best, uncertain date, but the field is racing stock still looking forward to his return to the oval tracks next month.
Patrick ran in three races of NASCAR (February 13 at Daytona Feb. 20 to Feb. 27 at Fontana and Las Vegas) with the Nationwide Series in early spring before jumping into a full series with the IRL, and although his attempts to cross were somewhat of a flop so far, the darling of the media is always a valuable asset on both circuits. Patrick which is currently in 16th place in the standings with IRL driver, took the criticism that his recent warm IndyCar finishes have been affected by its passage with NASCAR, but the spokesman GoDaddy quickly rejected that idea.
Talking Racer.com and defend his decision to run both NASCAR and the IndyCar schedule this year, Patrick has answered a question about the negative impact it had on NASCAR IRL season, saying: "I think it just a very easy thing to do, something easy to explore and a convenient excuse. I do not think there is something to it. I return to the good old days – the racers led all kinds of racing cars and nobody thinks he has nothing. In fact, we must add. It's just an unfortunate situation and there no other answer. "
Patrick chalked up his racing season average to date simply ran bit of the mark, and is always looking for a way back in the comfort of Victory Lane. Addressing Racer.com, Patrick said: "If the answer was as simple as going, 'That's what I'm going to do about it, "I know that, and it has already been done. I have some ideas to take in a better direction. Currently, we are all working hard. It is not a lack of trying. "
Wherever she is in the peloton on the circuit, Danica Patrick is still a figurehead for ticket sales <a NASCAR href="http://www.stubhub.com/nascar-tickets/"> </ A> this year. His country finishes so far this year – 35th at Daytona, 31 at Fontana and 36th at Las Vegas – are nothing to get too excited, but maybe NASCAR golden girl is back with a vengeance next month, when she moves back in his No. 7 car stock.
After turning this stretch of the course today with the oval IRL, Danica Patrick will be back in action in the Nationwide Series on June 26, when it next races at Loudon. Alternating with the IndyCar race, Patrick will also be unveiled NASCAR race on July 9 in Chicago, Aug. 14 at Michigan Sept. 25 at Dover October 9 at Fontana, on October 15 in Charlotte, October 23 at Gateway, November 6 to November 20 in Texas and Homestead.
Patrick is also after a series gain during oval (brand new to the IRL this year) and seeks his first career Indianapolis 500 win last weekend in May, giving him a lot of motivation and focus to get through this stretch mid-season race.

Peugeot Joins Alms Sebring Winter Test
Peugeot Sport is one of the ten manufacturers who have signed up for the fourth annual American Le Mans Series Winter Test scheduled from January 28 to 30 at the Sebring International Raceway. The manufacturer will be joining test regulars such as Audi Sport North America, Penske Racing and Dyson Racing from the Porsche camp, Intersport Racing, three Acura teams, and Mazda’s B-K Motorsports.
The striking list of manufacturers joining Peugeot in the three-day Test has representations from Dodge, Ferrari, Ford and Panoz. The event serves as a warm-up for the 56th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring showcased by Fresh from Florida on March 15, the opening race for the 2008 ALMS.
The entry of a Peugeot 908, a diesel-powered vehicle, have molded a belief that the French factory will enter the Sebring endurance classic and offer a nice rematch of 2007′s clash at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Peugeot began on pole position there but Audi dominated the race with the trio of Frank Biela/Emanuele Pirro/Marco Werner taking their second straight victory in the Audi R10 TDI, wrote Nancy Knapp Schilke of Motorsport. The team won by ten laps over the Peugeot of Sebastien Bourdais/Pedro Lamy/Stephane Sarrazin. The Audi trio also won last year at Sebring, the release continued.
At Sebring, the environment will be busy and the ambiance warm. Audi and Acura cold air intakes will be preoccupied too. Penske Racing will be testing its Porsche RS Spyders until today. Dyson Racing, also an RS Spyder team, and Flying Lizard Motorsports from GT2 will also be busy with the tests. Andretti Green Racing, Highcroft Racing and Lowe’s Fernandez Racing all will test their new Acura ARX-01b prototypes January 14 to 15 with Audi testing January 21 to 23, divulged The Auto Channel.
Last year’s Champs Pedro Lamy and Stephane Sarrazin have showcased their talents in the North American-based series. The dynamic duo had to contend with their own teammates in their sister car plus another French team and its drivers. It was a tough race in the season finale. But the duo etched a clever comeback to ink a record. They finished second on the Interlagos circuit in Brazil to their sister car.
“We were under pressure during the race because of problems like our clutch trouble at the start,” confessed Lamy. “I can hardly believe we’ve won the title after such an eventful race, but we are effectively champions!”
Notwithstanding the loss at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Peugeot Sport Director Michael Barge was pleased with their debut season in the LMS. “It’s a marvelous result for Peugeot and for everyone who has worked so hard at Peugeot Sport since the beginning of our endurance program,” he said after their final race in 2007.

Honda: Successful at the Iowa Speedway
Dario Franchitti Indianapolis 500 Champion has made it two wins in the last four races ahead of Andretti Green Racing teammate macro Andretti across the finish line last Sunday at the Iowa Speedway held in conjunction with the inaugural Iowa Corn Growers Indy 250 in front of a sellout crowd of 35,838.
Beginning at the inside of the second row, Franchitti successfully shunned all three multi-car crashes which caused the delayed and elimination of more than half of the 19 car starting field. Franchitti was able to lead throughout the final third of the 250-lap event leading 96 laps for his second IndyCar Series victory of the season with a remarkable point lead in the championship standings after 8 of 17 races.
In addition it was also the second 1-2 result for the Andretti Green Racing in the last three races as Tony Kaanan and Franchitti finished first and second respectively at The Milwaukee Mile this month.
Dario’s win has given him a total of 16 Honda-powered victories in North American open-wheel competition surpassing Alex Zanardi who has only 15 wins as Honda’s most successful driver in Indy-style racing.
Last weekend’s race at Iowa Speedway has proven to be a success for the Honda Indy V8 engine and Honda lowering springs that shows 100 percent reliability throughout 7,241 laps of testing, practice, qualifying, and then finally at last Sunday’s race totaling to 6,493 miles covered with temperatures ranging from the mid-90s on Friday to as low as 70s during the race.
Andretti with less than seven-hundredths of a second behind the finish was able to have his best result in what has been a difficult 2007 season and his first ever oval-track finish of the year. The second-year IndyCar driver led by four laps but never really got the chance to lead.
Aside from Adretti, Scott Sharp was also able to rank third while Buddy Rice places fourth and Sarah Fisher finishing in seventh place—all had their bets results this year. Panther Racing’s Victor Meira led 71 laps and was trying to achieve his first IndyCar victory before suspension failure makes him to retire on Lap 216. The accident was able to take out from the race Danica Patrick, A.J. Foyt IV, Sam Hornish Jr., Kosuke Matsuura, Kanaan, Jeff Simmons, and Tomas Scheckter.
Dario Franchitti driving the #27 Andretti Green Racing Honda has started in 3rd and finished 1st. this is the second win for 2007 of Franchitti and his 6th career IndyCar victory and his seventh top-five finish in eight races for this season.
Because of his achievements, Franchitti becomes Honda’s all-time winning driver with 16 opne-wheel victories in CART and IndyCar competition. Franchitti said, “It was just a great job by the guys all weekend long. This may be a short track, but it drives a lot like a super speedway. We took a bit of a gamble on our last pit stop [taking fuel only and running the final 104 laps on the same set of tires] to gain some track position, so I certainly didn’t need to see that last yellow. All credit to Firestone and to Honda, who once again gave us a great engine. There were no team orders, and I know Marco [Andretti] wants a victory just as much as I do, so that made the final run pretty exciting for both of us. It was a very physical race, but a lot of fun at the same time.”
Marco Andretti driving the #26 Andretti Green Racing Honda has started at the 12th position and finished 2nd but was regarded as the best finish for the 2007 and the first oval track finish. When asked about the race Andretti said, “This place is different. The G [loads] are incredible. It’s very physical, and I’ve been fighting a sinus infection or something today, so I’m beat. In the final laps, I tried as hard as I could but I was running too high [on the track] and could never get a really good run on Dario [Franchitti]. Finishing second is definitely a confidence boost for me after the way the season started. It certainly helped us in the championship points and was a great day for Andretti Green Racing.”
Robert Clarke, President, Honda Performance Development on the recent race: “It was another successful weekend for Honda, with 100 per cent reliability throughout the weekend in weather conditions that varied from hot and humid to very cool. Congratulations to the Andretti Green organization and in particular to Dario Franchitti, who today passed the great Alex Zanardi to become our most successful driver in North American open-wheel racing with 16 victories. Dario has been a member of the Honda family since 1997, and I couldn’t be more pleased for him to have this honor.”

Did I just see that (Indy 500)?
Marco Andretti Tony Kanaan just left to dry, then Tony got into the marbles, spun, and was T-boned by Sarah Fisher! Incredible! Tony was the head, too!
I guess someone was watching a different race than me, after 2 teammates collected each other, Sarah had nowhere to go 220 km / h, you just can not pull off n, where a wreck happens just in front of you? EDIT 1 Danica Where was supposed to go? it was already all the way against the wall, and the way she had, she was ahead of Briscoe He ran over her from behind, (he took out his rear wheel, remember?) how was she supposed to get out of his way?
